To complement the skills of existing trustees we are looking for individuals with specific skills in one or more of the following areas. However, applications from people with other relevant board experience are also encouraged:

  • Marketing and communications
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Legal/employment
  • Racing industry

Trustees are expected to:

  • Have empathy with the charitable objectives of the TRC
  • Have time to dedicate to the role
  • Attend quarterly board meetings at the Centre
  • Contribute advice / support on an ad hoc basis
  • Become involved in working groups as required
  • Attend PR and fundraising events

Appointments are for a period of three years and are unsalaried – however, reasonable expenses are paid.

We are absolutely delighted with the new graphics for our horsebox which were sponsored in full by design and marketing agency Red Hot Pixel Ltd of Clapham, North Yorkshire.  The TRC display team is out and about a lot over the summer months at events promoting the work of the centre and the versitility of the ex-racehorse so it's great to have the horsebox looking so professional as well.
