The Legacy Club

The TRC Legacy Club has been set up to acknowledge the support of those people who have pledged a gift to the charity in their wills. Each year the Club gives its members exclusive opportunities to visit the Centre and see the work that we do as well as hosting an annual lunch where members can meet others who have made a similar commitment. The names of members of the Legacy Club are kept confidential to the TRC in order to preserve the privacy of the individuals. As a small token of appreciation we offer Legacy Club members either a TRC pin badge or key ring.

Your will is an important way to protect the interests of your family and any other dependents, and they should be considered before all else. Once you have done this we hope that you would consider leaving a legacy to the TRC, either as a specific or residuary legacy. Legacies to charities are free from both Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax so they can reduce the total liability on your estate.

Inclusion of the TRC as a beneficiary in your will can either be by means of making a new will or by adding a codicil and we urge you to take professional advice from your solicitor on this. Some model wordings for the various types of bequest follow:

If you decide to leave a gift to the TRC in your will, or have already done so, it would be most helpful to us to have an indication of your support to enable us to plan ahead for the future. This reply form is not a legal document and does not commit you in any way and it will be treated in the strictest confidence. Download the form here
