Appeal Updates

Autumn Appeal

In our Autumn 2011 Newsletter we launched our Vaccination Programme Appeal.

Whilst we currently vaccinate for tetanus, we needed to extend this to include the equine influenza vaccination.

To date we have raised £3753.00 which exceeds our goal to cover the £3150.00 cost of the first year of the programme.

Summer Appeal 2010

Our new horsebox has arrived.

After a successful appeal and donations from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust we were able to buy our custom made horsebox.  We were involved at every stage of the build ensuring the box was just right and would stand up the the heavy use from our horses.  It's already been taking the horses out and about to demonstations and to competitions as part of their training programme.

Spring Appeal 2010

In our Spring/ Summer 2010 Newsletter we appealed for funds for a field maintenance and drive repair project. Our field fencing was in need of repair after suffering damage from livestock and the driveway was heavily potholed. The bridge leading across a natural stream to a paddock regularly used for turnout had collapsed and was in urgent need of repair.

The maintenance of field fencing is an ongoing project, repairs to existing fencing has been carried out and we are partway through the fitting of electric tape.

Our driveway was repaired over last summer – the winter hasn’t been kind to it so we will be carrying out some top up work now that the weather is improving!

The repair to the bridge was a big project including the fitting of a new field drainage system. This is now complete and our horses are enjoying the use of the paddock once again.
